Erythritol may lead to heart problems

The zero-calorie sweetener, widely used by the food industry, has shown to be "linked to blood clotting, stroke, heart attack and death, according to a new study."

The article on CNN states that those who consume the sweetener in high amounts, have higher than average erythritol in their blood, may be two times higher at risk for heart attack and stroke.
